Mission Statement
Transforming Faces Worldwide is a Canadian charity that promotes the availability of multidisciplinary cleft care for children and adults in developing countries by establishing and funding projects to improve access to long-term medical treatment for craniofacial disorders.
Through local capacity building, encouragement and strengthening of approved local cleft organizations, we aim to make a major contribution to the development, facilitation and promotion of multidisciplinary cleft management.
Transforming Faces is dedicated to closing the gap in cleft care. We work in partnership with local cleft specialists, building and funding community-based medical teams that are committed to meeting all the needs of children with cleft lip/palate and their families.
We advocate strongly for comprehensive cleft care, meaning wherever possible our cleft teams include: audiologists, dentists, nurse co-ordinators, orthodontists, social workers, speech therapists and surgeons.
We invite you to share our goal to extend our reach to the many children waiting for their chance to live a full, healthy life.
