Team TFW raises $8,630 for children worldwide!
Over 20 friends and supporters ran in support of Transforming Faces Worldwide at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. “We had lots of fun, with over 20,000 runners taking part and hundreds of spectators cheering us on,” said Esteban Lasso, TFW’s Executive Director.
With runners in the 5 km and half marathon races, Team TFW raised a total of $8,630, which was more than triple their first year goal of $2,500. These funds will be matched 2:1 by a private donor, which means that TFW will receive $25,890 to help children with cleft lip and palate. “We are very proud of this achievement and thank the runners and donors who made this day such a huge success!”
