TFW raises over $50,000 at India, Land of Smiles!
Over 100 guests gathered at the historic Burroughes Building to experience the tastes, sounds and sights of India, while raising funds for TFW’s projects around the world.
Guests enjoyed traditional Indian cuisine and drinks, live Bollywood dancers, and were treated to colourful henna tattoos. Beverly Thomson, host of CTV’s Canada AM, was a lively and engaging emcee who brought attention to TFW’s projects helping children around the world.
TFW raised over $50,000 from India, Land of Smiles, with 100% of proceeds to reach children in need. This event is only the first of a series of events under the 2010 India, Land of Smiles campaign, which will conclude with a celebration during the Diwali Festival in the fall.
