Dozens of friends and supporters gathered at the historic Dr. Johnson House in London to raise awareness about Transforming Faces Worldwide’s overseas projects, and to garner support in the UK.

A first event of its kind, the party attracted new interest in TFW’s projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The event was organized and staged by TFW’s President and Founder, Jackie Elton. In addition to live music, food and drink, the guests were treated to a slide-show presentation of TFW’s projects by Esteban Lasso, Executive Director.

To cap off the evening, the guests enjoyed a special guest appearance from TFW’s partner in Peru, Mr. Lucas Sempé. Mr. Sempé spoke of the dramatic difference that TFW’s support has made in the lives of children affected by cleft lip and palate. He also expressed his strong appreciation for the investment that TFW brings to local medical teams in developing countries.

As a result of the evening, over $3,000 was raised for treating patients with cleft lip and palate in developing countries, and TFW gained many new supporters. The event also marked the expansion of TFW’s presence beyond North America, into the UK.

The UK event was held at the historic at the historic Dr. Johnson House, circa 1700.
