Supporting partner medical teams in developing countries is integral to TFW's mandate. This involves lower costs, encourages medical professionals to practice in their home countries and builds the capacity of health systems to improve the quality of life of their citizens.


TFW chooses partners who:

* Are based in a local medical institution or community development organization
* Provide equal access to all people in need
* Either have - or are willing to develop - adequate facilities and competence to conduct an effective and safe program
* Show long term vision and commitment over and above desire for financial remuneration
* Involve local professionals and communities in the develomment of the programs
* Will aim to achieve self-sustainability through local funding
* Are committed to the long-term follow up care of CLP patients.
